Yesterday I got in my car , closed the door and was about to put on my seat belt when I realized that I had forgotten to put on a necklace Although my ever-present bangles were on my wrists, I felt exposed without anything around my neck.

Everyone has their own version of “armor”, mostly personality quirks and strategies to keep ourselves from getting hurt emotionally or from getting too close before we know our feelings will be reciprocated.

In my case, my armor is what helps me get through the day, it announces itself  before I do. My jewelry makes a statement about who I am, before I even introduce myself.

Makes for some very interesting first impressions….
